Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez signed for the club because of money according to former Red Devils defender Patrice Evra.
The ex-French international talked about Alexis Sanchez and Manchester United in an exclusive interview with popular media channel Sky Sports.
According to the Manchester United legend, there’s no explanation for Alexis Sanchez to pick the Red Devils over Manchester City when he joined last year.
Patrice Evra said that his choice is down to money with Manchester City willing to offer him less money than Manchester United.
The former AS Monaco left-back also said that the Citizens play a better brand of football than Manchester United and that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would have made Alexis Sanchez a better player.
Evra also pointed out that maybe the Chilean wanted to be the star player at Manchester United rather than one of the numerous stars at Manchester City.
Alexis Sanchez has been a flop since he left North London giants Arsenal for Manchester United in January 2018 in a swap deal with Armenian international player Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
He was said to have signed a four-and-a-half year deal worth around £505,000 on a weekly basis.
Manchester United are ready to let Alexis Sanchez leave the club this summer after just 18 months at the Theatre of Dreams.
