There are suggestions that Chelsea star central defender Gary Cahill will be heading back to his former club Aston Villa where he first started as an Academy player.
Gary Cahill has had successful seven-and-a-half years at the Stamford Bridge and it has been quite successful as he was able to take over form legendary defender John Terry at the club.
More so, he has been able to win seven major titles for the West London outfit, including the Champions League in 2012 and two Premier League titles.
It is however about time for Gary Cahill to say goodbye to the Blues team as he is now over 33 and may not be able to meet with the competition in the team.
Aston Villa are therefore hoping they can be able to land the star player to their team in order to benefit from the experience he has gathered from the past.
However, Aston Villa are not alone in the pursuit of Gary Cahill as it is claimed that West Ham United, Sheffield United, Fulham and Rangers are all interested in having him.
It is therefore yet to be seen if the Blues team will allow the star player to leave the club knowing that they will not be able to sign new players as a replacement.
