German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are said to be eyeing a transfer for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ante Rebic ahead of this summer.
This is according to the specific publication from popular media outlet Goal which claimed that the Bavarian giants have turned their attention to the Croatian international star.
Premier League giants Manchester United were linked with a move for Ante Rebic immediately after his heroics at the last FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Ante Rebic was part of the Croatian team that surprisingly reached the final of the tournament before they were piped to the trophy by France via a 4-2 defeat.
The aforementioned publication claimed that Bayern Munich have made Rebic their top transfer target ahead of the in-demand Lille winger Nicholas Pepe.
Bayern Munich are expected to bolster their squad with the signing of at least a wing forward this summer with the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben expected to leave the club this summer.
Ribery and Robben will be free agents this summer upon the expiration of his respective contracts.
Ante Rebic is a part of the Eintracht Frankfurt side in the Europa League semifinals ahead of their second leg clash with Chelsea with the tie at 1-1 from the first leg.
