The latest report claims that Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez has dismissed claims that he would be on his way to the Anfield as soon as the summer transfer window is opened.
It was claimed that the Merseyside outfit Liverpool are keen on the signature of the star player and the sports have gone round the social media which attracted the reaction of the star forward.
The Reds team have found it necessary to bring in a quality attacker to help bring in the competition for Brazilian international Roberto Firmino and have the Celta Vigo forward on their wish list.
It is suggested that the Reds team would step forward with a bid as soon as the summer window is opened with expectations that Maxi Gomez will not turn down a move to leave the club.
However, he has dismissed such reports as he hopes to remain with Celta Vigo ahead of the coming season.
The Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona are also keen on the signature of Maxi Gonez but that does not move him as well after claiming that he is comfortable with Celta Vigo.
Howbeit, Liverpool will have to turn other direction for an attacker especially as it is almost confirmed that Daniel Sturridge would be leaving the club over lack of playing time.
Divock Origi was also rumoured to leave the Anfield over lack of playing time but that will no longer be the case especially now that he is in great form, helping his team reach the Champions League finals.
