English Premier League outfit Liverpool have been handed a major blow by star target and Italian Serie A outfit Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne ahead of the summer transfer window.
It was initially reported that Lorenzo Insigne was seeking to end his relationship with the Italian Serie A side to a move away which was the reason why the Reds team registered their interest in him.
The Jurgen Klopp team have got a big need of a proven striker in the coming season so as to help give a positive competition to Brazilian international Roberto Firmino and as well, serve as a replacement when he is injured.
This is as the Reds team are battling to stand a right in front when they face Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona later on Tuesday for the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino already injured.
Therefore, the hope of securing the signature of Lorenzo Insigne is now lost as he looks forward to staying at Naples if an agreement is reached.
According to him, there is a new desire to continue but noted that there has to be an understanding of how to go about it before the summer transfer window.
