Jose Mourinho: Lyon, Roma Join Managerial Race
Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a hot cake at the moment with several clubs jostling to sign him on as their manager as from next season.
According to the publication from popular English media portal Daily Mail, French Ligue 1 giants Lyon and Italian Serie A club AS Roma have joined the race to sign the Portuguese tactician as their manager for next season.
Jose Mourinho was also linked with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic over the weekend.
The former FC Porto and Inter Milan boss has also been linked with clubs like Real Madrid and Benfica.
He was linked with a return to Real Madrid before the Los Merengues announced Zinedine Zidane as their manager in March.
Mourinho spent three seasons at Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013 before leaving for a second spell at Chelsea.
The Portuguese has been without a managerial job since he was sacked by Manchester United towards the end of 2018.
Jose Mourinho led the Red Devils to their worst start in the Premier League era and he paid dearly with his job in December shortly after the 3-1 defeat at the hands of arch rivals Liverpool.
He was replaced by former club striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on an interim basis before the Norwegian tactician was given the job full-time in March.
