Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly weighing up a big money move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
This is according to widespread reports emanating from the media in the United Kingdom.
Arsenal striker Lacazette came close to moving to Spain at the start of last season before he joined the Gunners in a then club-record deal of around £50m.
His transfer was eclipsed by the deal that took strike partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to the Emirates Stadium in January 2018.
Lacazette was close to joining La Liga giants Atletico Madrid but their transfer embargo at that time prevented a deal from happening.
The French international could still end up in Spain depending on whether Arsenal are willing to do business with Barcelona.
According to the specific report from the Daily Express, Barcelona are ready to spend as much as £70m to sign Lacazette as they search for a long-term replacement for the aging Luis Suarez.
Uruguayan international Suarez has been a wonderful servant for Barcelona since joining the club from Liverpool in the summer of 2014 but age is no longer on his side at 32 and Barcelona are already preparing for life without him.
Luis Suarez has scored 22 goals in both the Champions League and the Spanish La Liga, while Alexandre Lacazette has scored 18 goals for Arsenal in all competitions.
