West London outfit Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth star Callum Wilson ahead if the summer transfer window.
The Blues team have not been alone in the chase of Callum Wilson as they are joined by North London outfit Tottenham but Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has warned the Bournemouth star to shun a move to the third-placed team and consider joining the West Londoners.
So far this season, Callum Wilson has been very impressive as he has scored a total of 14 goals and registering 9 assists to help his team remain in the English Premier League as well as receiving his first senior national team call-up.
This has caught the attention of a number of top sides that have come knocking for his signature.
However, Paul Merson urged Callum Wilson to consider a move to the Stamford Bridge, noting that it would be a better deal for him.
The Sky Sports pundit added that Callum Wilson is a regular at his club and that is what earned him a national team call up, stressing that he would no longer have that opportunity if he joins Tottenham because he will be a bench player as long as Harry Keane is fit.
Paul Merson argued that the Blues team are in search of a center forward and Callum Wilson could just be the deal to man the position rather than a move to Tottenham.
