Dad Deal!! Zola reveals regret in failed move

West London outfit Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola has revealed that Nicolo Barella was very sad at missing the opportunity to sign for the club in the last January winter transfer window.
Nicolo Barella was linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge and it was reported that the deal would be dusted but that never happened as it is now being revealed that the deal came very close but it collapsed along the way and the player was unhappy about that.
The young midfielder who plays for Cagliari has been impressing so far this season and has caught the attention of a number of clubs including Man United but his interest has been on joining the West Londoners.
Zola, therefore, stated that Nicolo Barella is a very good player and that manager Maurizio Sarri has always liked to work with him but the deal did not work as planned.
However, it is reported that the West London outfit are ready to hand a £45 million bid to Cagliari in order to convince them but they are also tied by the fact that they will not be able to sign new players for the next two transfer window as the FIFA ban has not been lifted.
