Premier League giants Manchester United are plotting a summer move for Bayern Munich attacker James Rodriguez according to widespread reports in the British media.
James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at German champions Bayern Munich from Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid at the moment.
The Colombian international playmaker joined the Bavarian giants on loan at the start of last season but his temporary spell at the club is expected to run out this summer.
According to the publication from Don Balon, Manchester United want to sign James Rodriguez this summer when his loan deal at Bayern Munich expires.
The Red Devils might need to face the threat of Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan who are also interested in the former FC Porto and AS Monaco star.
Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac is not interested in retaining the services of James Rodriguez and he’s expected to return to parent club Real Madrid.
James Rodriguez left Real Madrid while Zinedine Zidane was the manager and the French football legend is back at the club after eight months.
Zidane returned to Real Madrid at the start of last month having been reappointed as the replacement for the sacked Santiago Solari.
It remains to be seen whether James Rodriguez is in the manager’s long-term plan.
