French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are plotting a big money transfer for Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to widespread media reports in the British media.
A specific report from the Daily Mail claimed that PSG are eyeing a £60m move for Spanish international De Gea who has come under fire for his performances in recent games.
His manager gave him a vote of confidence during his pre-match press conference on Friday morning ahead of the Premier League clash with top-four rivals Chelsea.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told reporters that David De Gea is still his number one goalkeeper despite the shot stopper’s questionable form in recent games.
His poor form has been traced to doubts over his future at Manchester United.
David De Gea has been culpable in several goals conceded in recent games.
He has conceded a whopping 50 goals in 35 games in goal for Manchester United.
The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper was at fault for goals conceded in recent Premier League games against the likes of Arsenal, Everton as well as Premier League champions Manchester City.
De Gea was also at fault for the goals conceded against Barcelona in the Champions League.
