Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his players that they potentially face a summer clearout if they don’t improve their recent form.

Solskjaer was speaking ahead of the Manchester Derby clash with English champions Manchester City in the Premier League.

Manchester United host their city rivals at the Theatre of Dreams on Wednesday night hoping to put a dent to their title aspirations.

Ahead of the game, Solskjaer told reporters that there would be players coming in and out of the club this summer.

The Manchester United players have been heavily criticised and rightly so for their performance against Everton in their league clash at the weekend.

The Red Devils were thrashed 4-0 by Everton who recorded their most complete performance of the season.

The Toffees scored two goals in each half to hand the Red Devils their biggest loss of the season.

Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Everton substitute Theo Walcott were all on target for the Toffees in the win over Manchester United.

The loss to Everton dented their hopes of qualifying for Champions League football next season via a top-four finish in the league but they can revive that target when Manchester City visit them for what could determine the league title.

Manchester City need to win to secure top spot on the Premier League table.
