Man Utd Handed Major Transfer Boost In Six-Goal Midfielder Pursuit
Three-time European champions Manchester United have received a big transfer boost in the wake of the news that rivals Tottenham Hotspur want to sell one of their stars.
Tottenham Hotspur need to balance the books having recently moved to their new stadium earlier this month.
The North Londoners have to pay the price for the new stadium by selling one of their star players despite securing a last four in the Champions League.
Spurs are semifinalists in the money-spinning competition after they saw off Premier League champions Manchester City in their quarterfinal tie via the away goal rule.
Spanish newspaper AS revealed that Tottenham will be forced to sell one of their players and that could be Danish international star Christian Eriksen who has been linked with clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Fans of both Manchester United and Real Madrid would have been delighted with the news that they could sign the aforementioned Eriksen this summer.
Christian Eriksen, 27, has been a key player for Tottenham Hotspur since he joined them from Dutch Eredivisie club Ajax Amsterdam.
He will reunite with his former club when Spurs face Ajax in the semifinals of the Champions League.
Eriksen has scored six goals and provided 12 assists for Spurs this season in the Premier League.
