Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders has confessed to being surprised by why the Reds team are facing rivalry and jealousy from rival fans on their bid to win the Premier League title.
The Reds team returned to the top of the English Premier League table after defeating Chelsea by 2-0 at the Anfield earlier on Sunday as they are now two points ahead of Man City who have got a game at hand.
A title win for Liverpool will make it the first for the club in 29 years and this is the best chance they have got to break the deadlock.
Dean Saunders says rival fans are already unhappy at the Reds team noting that they have no reason o do that. According to him, the general insinuations are that Man City always buy the trophy because of how much they invest in bringing in coaches and players.
The Liverpool legend stated that the same thing cannot be said of Liverpool because they have always deserved all they won in their club history and that has to be appreciated.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp has not won a single title since he took charge of the club in about three years.
