Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero for the Gunners after they were able to see off stubborn Watford but the Gabonese is not satisfied after he subtly demanded for more playing time with his buddy and strike partner Alexandre Lacazette.
After the game, Aubameyang jokingly told reporters that he’s scared to tell Gunners boss Unai Emery that he wants to play alongside the aforementioned Lacazette.
He also revealed that his target is to beat the other contestants to the Premier League Golden Boot Award.
Aubameyang scored his 18th league goal of the season with the only goal of the game during the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Watford away from home.
He’s in the Golden Boot race with the likes of Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane (Liverpool).
Arsenal fans have always called on Unai Emery to unleash both Aubameyang and Lacazette on opponents but the Spanish tactician opted for Gabon International Aubameyang.
Lacazette was an unused substitute as Unai Emery had one eye on the upcoming Europa League quarterfinal second leg meeting with Italian Serie A club Napoli.
Arsenal lead 2-0 from the first leg at home last week Thursday and they will have to be at their best against Napoli in the second leg this Thursday to secure a semifinal berth.
