Alexis Sanchez Has Something To Prove At Barcelona


Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that forward Alexis Sanchez has a score to settle ahead of the huge Champions League second leg meeting with former club Barcelona.

Alexis Sanchez was a Barcelona player until the summer of 2014 when he signed for North London giants Arsenal for £35m.

The 30-year-old became a household name at Arsenal and he went on to win two FA Cup titles with the Gunners.

Solskjaer spoke about Alexis Sanchez during his pre-match press conference ahead of the game.

According to him, Alexis Sanchez is fit for the game after recovering from a long-term injury.

The former River Plate and Udinese star has missed the last two months of football because of the injury.

Apart from Alexis Sanchez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also revealed that midfielder Nemanja Matic will also be in the Manchester United squad despite his recent struggles on the fitness front.

Alexis Sanchez has not has the best of careers at Old Trafford but he could rewrite it against Barcelona.

He has scored just five goals for Manchester United in all competitions since his swap deal from Arsenal.

Sanchez and his Manchester United teammates will have to overturn a 1-0 leg deficit to ensure that they secure a last four berth.
