Manchester United was fortunate to come away with the three points during their Premier League clash with London club West Ham United according to matchwinner Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman told BT Sport after the game that the Red Devils didn’t play well against the Hammers.

Pogba spoke with reporters after he netted a brace to lead his team to an important victory.

Manchester United boosted their chances of securing a top-four spot at the end of this Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win over the Hammers at home.

West Ham United thought they had taken the lead through Felipe Anderson at the start of the game only for the goal to be ruled out for offside but replays showed otherwise.

Manchester United went on to take the lead through a Paul Pogba penalty in the 19th minute after West Ham United midfielder Robert Snodgrass fouled Red Devils playmaker Juan Manuel Mata in the box.

Felipe Anderson levelled proceedings for the visitors at the start of the second half off an assist from Manuel Lanzini before Pogba scored his second goal of the game from the spot ten minutes from time.

West Ham substitute Ryan Fredericks was penalised for bringing down Anthony Martial in the box this paving the way for Pogba to win the game for Manchester United.
