Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho was in superb form for his team following their 2-1 league win over Mainz 05 at home as he set a new German Bundesliga record.
Jadon Sancho scored two goals for Dortmund in the first half of the game to establish a 2-0 lead in the must-win clash with Mainz 05.
His first goal came in the 17th minute for his ninth German Bundesliga goal of the season before he added a second goal on 24 minutes.
The young English winger had scored one goal last season upon his transfer from Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
Jadon Sancho has now scored 10 goals in the league this season thus setting a new record as the youngest Bundesliga scorer at the age of 19 years and 19 days.
In addition, Jadon Sancho has provided 13 assists in the league this term which is more than any player in the competition.
He has been involved in 23 goal contributions (10 and 13 assists).
Robin Quaison pulled one back for Mainz 05 with seven minutes to go to make a game of their encounter with Dortmund but the German Bundesliga chasers help on for the three points to usurp Bayern Munich (64 points) at the top of the table with two points though they have a game more than the Bavarian giants.
