Outgoing European champions Real Madrid have slapped a big sum of money on star forward Gareth Bale who has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
This is according to the publication from popular English news outlet Daily Mail which claimed that the Los Merengues have splashed a whooping sum of £113m on Bale.
Gareth Bale signed for Real Madrid from North London giants Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013 after a stellar season for the Premier League club.
Spurs received a then world-record fee of £85.3m for his transfer from Real Madrid and the player went on to play a big role to help his new club win the Champions League in his first season.
In total, the Welsh international star has won four Champions League titles at Real Madrid in addition to the 2016/17 Spanish La Liga title won under the guidance of newly reappointed manager Zinedine Zidane.
Bale has been linked with a return to London with Tottenham Hotspur as well as Chelsea.
The former Southampton player has also been touted as a possible transfer addition for Manchester United who want to rebuild their squad when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The aforementioned publication claimed that Real Madrid are open to a possible swap deal with Manchester United for Bale.
The Spanish giants want to sign Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba.
