Ronaldo Makes Scoring Return Against Ajax

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo made a welcomed return to the pitch during the Italian champions’ Champions League quarterfinal first leg clash with Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam.

The former Manchester United superstar was on the scoresheet as his Juventus side played out a 1-1 draw with a youthful Ajax team.

Ronaldo scored the all-important away goal for Juventus to give the Old Lady the lead on the stroke of halftime off an assist from national team colleague Joao Cancelo.

The hosts equalised straight after the restart through Brazilian striker David Neres who profited from a mistake from the aforementioned Cancelo.

Juventus ensured that the home side didn’t add to their tally despite their industry and it was even the Italians who came close to snatching the second goal towards the end of the game through substitute Douglas Costa who hit the post with a well taken shot.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored another goal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League to take his tally to 24 goals in 21 appearances in the last eight.

He has scored 125 goals in the Champions League.

The goal against Ajax also took his tally for the season to 25 goals in all competitions in what has been a productive first year at Juventus.

Failed Bid: Man Utd Rebuffed In Koulibaly Chase

Three-time European champions Manchester United have been turned back in their bid to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

This is according to the latest reports coming out of the Italian media.

Manchester United are in the market for a new centre back and they have set their sights on the aforementioned Koulibaly who has been a long-term transfer target.

According to the publication from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United have made a stunning bid of around €110m for Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly.

It was also revealed that Napoli rejected the big bid from Manchester United for the quality centre back.

The transfer fee would have made Kalidou Koulibaly the most expensive defender in world football ahead of Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk.

Dutch international Van Dijk holds the record for the most expensive defender after the Reds paid £75m for him.

He joined Liverpool from fellow Premier League club Southampton in January 2018.

Koulibaly and Van Dijk are widely regarded as two of the top three defenders on the world football stage alongside Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos.

Napoli had earlier rejected several bids from Manchester United for Koulibaly towards the end of last year and they have received the same response with their latest bid as mentioned above.

Revealed: Man Utd Will Sign Top Players THIS Summer

Premier League giants Manchester United will sign quality players this summer according to the agent of star forward Romelu Lukaku.

In a chat with Sky Sports, Federico Pastorello told reporters that the Red Devils will be able to attract top players to the club despite missing out on Champions League football for next season.

Pastorello is the agent of Belgian all-time topscorer Lukaku who has been linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer.

Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have registered an interest in him according to recent reports.

Romelu Lukaku has spent two years at Manchester United but that has not stopped him from being linked with an exit.

He signed for Manchester United from Merseyside giants Everton in the summer of 2017 in a deal reported to be around £75m thus making him the second most expensive signing in the history of the club behind French midfielder Paul Pogba who sealed a then world-record fee of £89m to Manchester United from Italian champions Juventus in 2016.

Lukaku and Manchester United will miss out on Champions League football after finishing in a disappointing sixth position at the end of the Premier League season.

The Red Devils will campaign in the Europa League for next season.

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has revealed that he would like to play for Argentine club Estudiantes before the end of his career.

The utility player made the admission in an interview with ESPN Estudiantes.

Marcos Rojo plays his country football for two-time world champions Argentina and he can play either as a centre back or as a left-back.

The Manchester United defender has battled with fitness and form at the club in recently and he’s said to be one of the players in danger of being transferred out of the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

Rojo was on the payroll of Estudiantes until 2010 when he moved to Russian Premier League outfit Spartak Moscow.

Deal On: Arsenal Target Reveals Premier League Desire

His football journey continued from Russia to Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.

The Argentine defender became a Manchester United player in 2014 having joined from the aforementioned Sporting Lisbon.

He has had to contend with injuries in recent seasons and was limited to a handful of appearances as Manchester United suffered a disappointing season.

The Argentine player has made over 100 appearances for Manchester United during his five-year stay at Old Trafford.

His status as a Manchester United player for next season is uncertain at the moment but he’ll definitely play Europa League football next season if he stays after the Red Devils failed to qualify for Champions League football.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has signed a one-year contract extension to his contract at the club to ward off the transfer rumours linking him with an exit from the club.

His new contract was announced by Real Madrid.

Toni Kroos has been a key member of the Real Madrid squad since his transfer from German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

He had three years left on his previous contract before extending it by one year until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Toni Kroos has repeatedly been linked to a move away from Real Madrid this summer with clubs like Manchester United touted as his possible destination.

Just like what’s obtainable with Real Madrid this season, Kroos has had a campaign to forget to further compound his woes from last summer when he was part of the Germany squad that failed to perform well.

Kroos and Germany were the champions before the World Cup tournament in Russia last summer only for them to stun the world by crashing out in the group stage.

Real Madrid will end this season without a major European trophy after they dropped out of contention for all the competitions as at the start of March, two months before the season ends.

Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be plotting a summer move for young Stoke City defender Nathan Collins according to the Daily Mail.

Nathan Collins has caught the eye with his performances for Stoke City this season and the Red Devils are ready to make a summer swoop for the 18-year-old.

It was revealed that the young defender was recommended to Manchester United by former midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Scottish international Darren Fletcher was formerly a Manchester United player before he joined West Brom and then Stoke City.

Manchester United fans won’t be too excited about Nathan Collins but his potential signing is not for the here and now.

The Red Devils will definitely sign new players this summer as they try to recover from a disappointing season which saw them finish in sixth position.

Manchester United were unable to qualify for the Champions League for next season as a result of that sixth-placed finish.

Champions Manchester City, Runners-up Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur ended the Premier League season in the top four places and they will represent England in Europe’s premier club competition.

North London giants Arsenal can become the fifth club to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.

The Gunners will face London rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final in Baku on May 29.

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told English Premier League outfit Manchester United to ensure the signature of Wales International Gareth Bale ahead of the coming season.

It is suggested that Gareth Bale will be available in this summer transfer window as he will seek to leave the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid owing to his sour relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane.

It has been reported that the two will not work together in the coming season which is why he is being linked with other clubs in this summer transfer window.

Manchester United have been long-term suitors for the former Tottenham star and they are to yet be linked.

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has, therefore, warned the Red Devils not to miss out on the star player, insisting that anyone that manages to land his signature would be glad.

He stressed that Gareth Bale is a very fantastic player and will bring quality to the Old Trafford if is eventually signed.

Meanwhile, Bale’s contract at the Bernabeu still runs until the next three years after he signed a six-year deal in October 2016.

It is therefore unknown if manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take the risk to land the star player.

Chile International Alexis Sanchez has had a very frustrating season at Manchester United as he failed to deliver in form for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Against what he is known for, Alexis Sanchez scored only one goal in the Premier League for the Red Devils which is obviously mysterious for a player who is known for goal scoring.

Sanchez only left North London outfit Arsenal of recent but he seemed to have left his form on the way while switching to the Old Trafford.

At Arsenal, he finished the 2016/17 season on 24 league goals, just five shy of Golden Boot winner Harry Kane, and won the Gunners’ Player of the Season award in recognition of his outstanding campaign.

Reports claim that the former Barcelona striker is one of the players that will be asked to leave the club at the end of the season which the former Red Devils striker already losing Hope on him.

Howbeit, the Italian Serie A outfit Juventus are keen to land the player while Inter Milan are also pushing to hand in a chance to have a new career.

It is suggested that the quality of the Chile international is not in doubt and he could have his career restarted in Italy.

Antoine Griezmann has already made it clear that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season after posting a message on his social media platform to his fans.

Obviously, the report of his move has not gone well with the fans as they reeled out their reactions by having some negative chants against the star striker in his last game for Atletico Madrid.

However, it is expected that Antoine Griezmann would be heading to Barcelona with reports that he has already agreed on a deal to join them.

There could, therefore, be a swift transfer of Antoine Griezmann with reports that Manchester United are trying to hijack the deal.

From every indication, Manchester United will part ways with Belgium international Romelu Lukaku as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to have a total overhaul of his team.

It would be noted that Griezmann’s release clause at Spanish capital currently stands at €200m (£175m) but will come down to €100m (£87m) at the start of July.

Premier League champions Manchester City will have to pay a world-record transfer fee for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire if they want to sign him this summer.

This is according to widespread reports emanating from the British media.

It was revealed that the Citizens have set their sights on Harry Maguire as the direct replacement for Vincent Kompany.

Manchester skipper Kompany will leave the club this summer after 11 years of service to the treble winners.
