Former Manchester United striker Dion Dublin is in no doubt that the team will need more from star players like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku for the second leg clash with Barcelona next week.
Barcelona are in a commanding position in the quarterfinal tie with the Red Devils after a 1-0 win in the first leg meeting which was held at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The only goal of the game came in the 12th minute through an unfortunate own goal from Luke Shaw as he was trying to clear a Luis Suarez off the line.
Manchester United battled back from that early setback as they threatened their Spanish opponents on some occasions but largely struggled to fashion out chances to score.
In his reaction to the Manchester United performance, Manchester United legend Dublin told BBC Sports about his disappointment in star players like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku.
According to him, Pogba and Lukaku who are incidentally the top two most expensive players didn’t play well at all.
He then went on to say that Manchester United will need them to perform better in the second leg to have any chance of overturning the first leg deficit against Barcelona.
Dion Dublin expected Pogba to create opportunities for the Manchester United strikers and that Lukaku was not making runs in behind the opposition defence.
