Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that star player Harry Kane might not play again this season in what would be a big blow for the North London giants.
Manchester United target Kane suffered a serious ankle injury during Spurs’ win over Manchester City at their new stadium on Tuesday night.
England international captain Harry Kane has been a long-term transfer target for the Red Devils and he suffered a new ankle problem in the 55th minute of the aforementioned Manchester City game while he was challenging for the ball with national team colleague Fabian Delph.
While giving update on the big injury to Harry Kane, Mauricio Pochettino told reporters that his star player will struggle to return to the pitch before the end of this season.
The scoreline was goalless when Harry Kane was subbed off for Lucas Moura but Tottenham Hotspur were able to win the game after Son Heung-Min scored the only goal of the game to give Spurs a 1-0 win ahead of the second leg next week.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his players would be confident that they can turn their Champions League quarterfinal tie around against Tottenham Hotspur to keep their hopes of a quadruple alive.
