Merseyside outfit Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk has admitted that the title hope of his team is being threatened by each game they play as he notes that any slip or defeat could cost them the entire season.

The Reds are currently seeking after a double as they are still in contention for the Premier League and the Champions League just like it was last season.

Liverpool are now top in the Premier League table with two points ahead of Man City with some few games left while they are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League which would be played against Porto.

Virgil Van Dijk therefore noted that his team cannot afford to see any defeat in any of the games because a slip could mean an end, knowing that Man City have got a game at hand while the contest has been very hot.

According to the former Southampton central defender, their title rivals have also got the same issues to deal with because they could also lose out if they see any defeat in either of the competitions as well.

However, Virgil Van Dijk stated that all that is needed to be done is for his team to move on with winning all of their games.
