German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon according to widespread reports in the media.

The Daily Mirror claimed that Borussia Dortmund want to sign the 18-year-old and that the player will run down his contract at Fulham to secure a free transfer move away from the club.

Ryan Sessegnon was one of the hottest properties in English football and he was coveted by the majority of the top-six clubs in the Premier League.

English top flight sides like Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United wanted to sign him shortly after he helped London club Fulham to secure promotion into the Premier League.

Ryan Sessegnon was outstanding for Fulham who sealed their return to the Premier League via a 1-0 win over Aston Villa in their Championship Playoff final.

Ryan Sessegnon has not been able to live up to the hype in the Premier League this season in a poor Fulham team.

Fulham suffered relegation from the Premier League with six games left to highlight their poor season.

The Cottagers’ demotion to the second tier of English football was confirmed on Tuesday night after they were handed a 4-1 away defeat against Watford.

Fulham will receive a compensation of £500,000 if Ryan Sessegnon runs down his contract which expires at the end of next season.
