It has been revealed that North London outfit Arsenal had the opportunity of securing the signature of Senegal international and Liverpool star Sadio mane as far back in 2012 but it was turned down.

Sadio Mane is no doubt one of the best players in the English Premier League at the moment with his impressive performance with the Liverpool team under manager Jurgen Klopp after joining the Anfield from Southampton in the summer window of 2012.

It is claimed that the North London outfit was offered the player for just £4 million but his mentor Mady Toure revealed that Arsenal rejected the player as former French manager Arsene Wenger was not interested in him for reasons unknown.

There is no doubt that it has turned out to be a bad decision and one to regret for the Gunners and their fans as Sadio Mane now cost the sum of £100 million because of the transformation in his game and ability.

Suggestions are that he would have become the heart of the Arsenal team under Unai Emery and would have formed a solid partnership with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang at the Emirates Stadium.

Sadio Mane is now being wanted by a number of teams including Real Madrid but he has been told that he would be leaving nowhere.
