Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defender Juan Bernat is still coming to terms with the shock Champions League elimination at the hands of Premier League giants Manchester United.
In a chat with Spanish media platform Mundo Deportivo, former Valencia player Juan Bernat said that the French giants deserved more than what they got against the Red Devils.
The Spanish international went on to say that he hopes PSG can hang on to star players like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe before adding that they are the ones that make things happen for the French champions.
Juan Bernat scored against Manchester United in the second leg of their last 16 tie but it was not enough for PSG who had won the first leg via a 2-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Bernat had equalised for PSG in the second leg after the opening goal from Romelu Lukaku.
The Manchester United striker scored again in the first half to give his side a 2-1 lead before an added time penalty from Marcus Rashford propelled the Red Devils to a 3-1 win and also condemned PSG to an early exit via the away goals rule.
Despite their elimination from the Champions League, PSG can still win two trophies this season.
The French champions have a 20-point cushion over nearest challengers Lille in the race for the French Ligue 1 title and they are expected to retain it.
PSG can also win the French Cup if they beat Rennes in the final.
