The last two seasons have been a positive one for Liverpool as they have performed better on the pitch and in the Premier League ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, but a report by Companies House proved otherwise.

Tottenham’s full account was made public for the 2017-18 and they posted a world record profit to overtake Liverpool by earning £112.9 million profit while the Reds pocketed £106 million in the same year.

However, the report reveals that Tottenham pays the lowest weekly wage amongst the six top teams in the Premier League of 148 million pounds, half of what Man United- 296 million pounds to their players.

Meanwhile, Liverpool were ahead of Man City by 4 million pounds while Chelsea is the highest spenders in London, ahead of Arsenal.

However, the translation of this financial report seems to not be a reflection of the results and performance of the team as it is known that Man City emerged winners of the league while Liverpool came second.

The Merseyside outfit almost got a consolation that would have made them earned higher but that didn’t work through as they failed to lift the Champions League title after they were defeated by Real Madrid in the finals.
