Merseyside outfit Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made a major confession about the signature of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton in the January winter transfer window of 2018 for a fee of £75 million.

Some pundits had criticized the Reds team for spending big on Virgil Van Dijk as he was not proven to have the ability to play on a big level but that has been proven wrong with his current performance at the defence.

With Virgil Van Dijk on the pitch, the Reds team have conceded only 18 goals in their last 32 Premier League games which place his team as title contenders against Man City and also one of the best defenders in Europe.

However, Jurgen Klopp stated that he is not surprised about the quality of the former Southampton player, noting that he saw all of those things even before bringing him to the Anfield.

the former Borussia Dortmund boss noted that for his team to have paid as heavy as £75 million to Southampton, it means they were 100% sure of what they wanted and the quality of the player.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp, therefore, praises the star player for giving extra confidence to the team with his leadership play.
