Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have received a big injury boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Premier League giants Manchester United following the news that Ousmane Dembele has returned to training.
Manchester United host Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal clash on Wednesday night before the second leg scheduled for the Nou Camp on April 16.
French World Cup winner Dembele was expected to miss the two legs due to the torn hamstring injury he sustained against Lyon.
The 21-year-old was subbed off during the second leg of the Catalan giants’ last 16 tie with French Ligue 1 club Lyon at the Nou Camp last month as a result of the torn hamstring injury.
He was expected to miss the quarterfinal tie with Manchester United but the former Borussia Dortmund player has returned to training before the Spanish La Liga clash with Atletico Madrid at the weekend.
Barcelona host Atletico Madrid with the knowledge that a win over their nearest challengers will put them closer to retaining their league title.
It will also serve as a morale booster before the all-important first leg meeting with Manchester United next week.
Dembele and Barcelona still harbour the hopes of winning three trophies this season.
