Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno has revealed that wantaway defender Raphael Varane will stay at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu beyond this season.
In his latest interview monitored by Goal, former Real Madrid player Butragueno said that Varane wants to stay at the club.
This is in contrast to recent reports which claim that the French defender is seeking for a new challenge amidst transfer reports linking with clubs like Italian champions Juventus and Premier League giants Manchester United.

Since joining Real Madrid from French club Lens in 2011, Varane has won two Spanish La Liga titles, four Champions League titles and one Spanish Copa Del Rey title.
He has made over 260 appearances for Real Madrid in eight years following his move from Lens.
Varane had a fantastic 2018 after playing a big part for the Real Madrid team that won a third successive Champions League title under the tutelage of French football legend Zinedine Zidane.
The 25-year-old was also part of the French team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia via a 4-2 final win over fellow European Croatia.
