Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol is of the opinion that the Merseyside outfit Liverpool are now short of a player because of the failure of the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah to live up to expectation.

Mohamed Salah has been living in his shadows so far this season as he has gone 8 games without a goal to his name despite having enough playing time and this has become a major concern for the Reds team and their fans.

The Liverpool legend noted that Mohamed Salah’s head has gone and that the Reds boss Jurgen Klopp can only boast of having two strikers which might not be enough with their bid to secure a league title.

Although he has got 20 goals to his name this term, the former AS Roma boss has been living in h9s shadows for the manager Jurgen Klopp team and it is quite disturbing.

Gary Neville admitted that Mohamed Salah has not got a bad season but has only had a bad second half and that can be corrected before the end of the season.

However, Gary Neville fears that Liverpool title rivals Man City could just go ahead to win the league title for the single reason that Mohamed Salah has not been in form.
