West London outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has always affirmed that he is unmoved and used to the criticisms from the fans but he has now come out to state that there is a need to have his players protected as they could be distracted.

This is coming after the Blues team struggled to win against Cardiff at the weekend. It was a 2-1 win do the Maurizio Sarri men but the fans were not satisfied with the performance as they blasted the team and called for the sack of the manager.

Maurizio Sarri in his reaction stated that the team started very well and the fans concluded that all was well until it is now being exposed that a lot is needed to be worked upon as the team.

The Italian boss stated that he has got a good team that have the ability to compete for top positions in the future and that would be achieved if the team is allowed to continue with its progress.

He stressed that he is unhappy with the situation at the moment but noted that he has won 33 games with Chelsea and only Man City have won more than his team.

However, the former Napoli boss has asked the fans to put all that  behind and support the team when they file out again on Wednesday against Brighton and Hove Albion.
