Jamie Carragher has reacted to the suggestions that the officiating between West London outfit Chelsea and Cardiff as it has raised a lot of dust on the controversial moments.
It is claimed that the West London outfit would have ended the game with a defeat or a draw but for the inability of the referee to ignore certain moments endured a win for the Blues.
In his reaction, Jamie Carragher defended the officials as he stated that Willian blocked the view of the linesman which helped Cesar Azupilicueta secure a goal for the team.
According to him, the official should not be crucified as he was only able to judge the situation by how he had seen it.
The decision to allow the goal remains a big boost for the West London outfit as they would have dropped more points or suffer a defeat eventually and that would have cost them their bid to qualify for the Champions League next season with a top-four finish.
However, the Blues team will now press on for the top-four finish by ensuring that they win most of the games remaining before the end of the season.
Should Chelsea fail to secure qualification to the Champions League next season, there are fears that manager Maurizio Sarri would be sacked.
