It has been reported that Merseyside outfit Liverpool have submitted a bid for an unnamed Benfica player ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The report claims that the Liga Nos are preparing to have an overhaul of their squad and will hope to earn about £300 million from the transfer deals they hope to engage in before the end of the summer window.

According to the report from Portuguese news outlet Correio de Manha, Benfica have made up their mind to have about seven players sold at the end of the season but the report failed to name the particular player Liverpool have submitted a bid for.

It is also suggested that they have received bids already for the seven players which the Reds team are also a part of it as Benfica will be sure of having the sum of £300 million at the end of the season.

However, it is claimed that Joao Felix, Jota, Ferro, Gedson, Florentino, Ruben Dias and Grimaldo are all up for sale and would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have been linked with Joao Felix and it is suspected that he is the one whom they have decided to move in for.
