Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reacted to the behaviour of the crowd during his side’s 2-1 win over Tottenham at the weekend.
The Reds were able to snatch a late win to avoid sharing the spoil with the North London outfit Tottenham as well as to establish their reign on top of the log.
The German manager noted that the crowd backed his team from the beginning to the end, not minding what happened.
The home fans kept singing from the beginning to the end of the game to help boost their players to push for a win. All thanks to the cross by Trent Alexandre–Arnold to Mohamed Salah’s head which led Toby Alderweireld into kicking it into his own net.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss stated that before the moment, the fans were not discouraged and did not show any sign as though they were nervous. He stressed that the attitude is unbelievable.
However, he noted that the win is a well-deserved one for his team because they played better in the first half and put in quality from the beginning to the end.
Meanwhile, it will not be long until Liverpool will return to winning ways as they will face Southampton on Friday.
