Merseyside outfit Liverpool boss manager Jurgen Klopp will be left disappointed with reports that the club’s main target Matthijs De Ligt might be joining the Italian Serie A outfit Juventus ahead of the coming summer transfer window.
The German manager is reported to be keen on the signature of Matthijs De Ligt as he seeks to have his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk ahead of the coming season in order to solidify his defence but he is not alone in the chase as other clubs are interested in his signature.
Matthijs De Ligt also seems to have made his choice as he considers a move to the Serie A, rather than the English Premier League because of his admiration of Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini as he described him as the best.
This, therefore, means that the Merseyside outfit must be very convincing in their bid for Matthijs De Ligt as he has his eyes already set on Juventus despite admitting that he cannot make any decision at the moment because of the interests lined up for him.
Matthijs De Ligt is just 19. but he has been able to mark over 100 appearances for the Ajax first team and also recorded 15 caps for the Holland national team.
