Merseyside outfit Liverpool are no doubt title contenders this season and they are at the top in the league table ahead of the defending champions Man City with few games left until the end of the season.

The Reds team have therefore been criticized especially after dropping some points with the few draws they had. This has made a number of critics give up on them to give Man City the nod to win the Premier League title at the end of the day.

Mark Lawrenson is therefore against the stand by the critics, insisting that the Reds team deserve all of the credits this season for their impressive performance so far.

According to Mark Lawrenson when speaking with BBC Sport, people say Liverpool are not playing well but noted that they have not lost any of their last 10 games and that can only be achieved by a good side.

According to him, they are in a very good position to win the league because it does not really matter how well they play but the number of games they have been able to win.

However, the Merseyside outfit are hoping to win their first domestic league title in 29 years.
