Liverpool star and Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has been declared missing for his country’s high profiled friendly game against Nigeria later on Tuesday.

Mohamed Salah is declared missing alongside other players including, Hegazi, El Mohamady as revealed by the country official Ehab Lehit.

The country’s FA managing director explained that the absence of the players is a decision by the coach to enable him to try new players as they seek to prepare their team for the coming AFCON competition later in the year.

However, this remains a good development for the Reds team and manager Jurgen Klopp as there is no doubt that Mohamed Salah will return to the club with some fresh legs and would have rested enough to continue the challenge for the Premier League title.

The Merseyside outfit are currently topping the league log with two points clear ahead of Man City but it is worthy to note that the Pep Guardiola side have also have a game at hand.

Meanwhile, the Reds team have not won a domestic league title in their club history for the past 25 years, hence they are looking forward to changing the narrative by winning it now that they have got the chance to.
