Chelsea fans saw a different Olivier Giroud for his France national team when he scored a goal to help his country go past Iceland by 4-0.

The former Arsenal striker has not been firing for the West London outfit which is the reason why he has been handed a limited playing time by manager Maurizio Sarri.

Olivier Giroud is already being linked away from the West London club as a result of his lack of playing time as he feels he deserves better despite the goal drought that has been experienced in his Blues jersey.

The same was seen of the striker at the 2018 FIFA World Cup where he was present in all of the games for the France team but failed to score a single goal.

However, a different Olivier Giroud was seen against Iceland as he scored a goal to make a name for himself as the 3rd highest goal scorer for the France national team.

He has now scored 35 goals behind Michel Platini who scored 41 and Thierry Henry who left the stage with 51 goals.

Suggestions are that this development for Olivier Giroud could help him return to the Stamford Bridge to provide the spark for the Sarri team so that they can push for a top-four finish as well as winning the Europa League title.
