Merseyside outfit Liverpool have now learned that they will not be able to secure the signature of their star target and Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid star Marco Asensio ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The Merseyside outfit have longed been linked with the star player and there are suggestions that they will make move for him in the coming summer transfer window.

However, they have been unwittingly told by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane that he would not be available because he is fundamental to his plans in his second spell at the club.

The 23-year-old forward has become an integral part of the Los Blancos team so far this season and will hope it continues under the football legend.

Marco Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2016 from Mallorca in 2015, scoring in his debut game against Sevilla in 2016 UEFA Super Cup.

the star forward has since become a first-team player. So far, he has scored 27 goals across 127 games for the La Liga giants.

However, Marco Asensio is expected to play a key role, now that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer at the club after joining Italian Serie A giants Juventus at the end of last season.
