LA Galaxy manager Guillermo Rochas Schelotto has revealed that star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return to action for the Major League Soccer (MLS) game against Portland Timbers.
Schelotto and his LA Galaxy players will face Portland Timbers in their fourth game of the new MLS season after the international break and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to play a part.
According to the LA Galaxy manager, he’s hopeful that the Swedish football legend will return to training at the start of next week.
The former Manchester United striker has missed the last two games for LA Galaxy as a result of a troublesome Achilles problem.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had revealed that he wants to do big things for LA Galaxy this season but his quest to do something spectacular took an early hit with the aforementioned injury.
He made a scoring start to the new league season during the 2-1 win over Chicago Fire.
The former Juventus and Inter Milan then missed the 2-0 loss to FC Dallas before LA Galaxy secured a second win from first three games of the season after their 3-2 victory over previously unbeaten Minnesota United.
Without the injured Ibrahimovic, LA Galaxy were able to bounce back from their first defeat of the season with a win over Minnesota United.
