There is a bid by Turkish outfit Besiktas president Fikret Orman to have Liverpool goalkeeper Karuis return back to the Anfield with indications that his loan spell at the club was not successful.

This was revealed by Gunes journalist Gultekin, claiming that talk between the two parties will continue as the Turkish outfit are not willing to keep the Liverpool stopper anymore.

There are suggestions that if Besiktas are willing to release the stopper for free should they fail to convince Liverpool into accepting him back, knowing that his two-year loan deal is yet to expire.

It is also claimed that the Turkish have already withheld his salary and he is keen to leave as well but a destination for him is unknown knowing that he can no longer earn a role in the Reds team.

The Merseyside outfit secured the services of former AS Roma stopper Alisson Becker and they have been able to deliver fine performance to ensure that the Reds team concede fewer goals.

However, it is claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp will be left with no option than to have Karius move on for other loan deals elsewhere as he cannot be accommodated in the team. The German boss could also be forced to have him leave the Anfield on a permanent deal.

Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has shouldered the blame after his team saw hell at the hands of Everton during their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

Matic and his Manchester United teammates were on the receiving end of a 4-0 drubbing by the Toffees.

In his reaction to the result, Matic told reporters via Goal that Manchester United lacked leaders and that was mainly responsible for the heavy beating received by the Red Devils.

jurgen klopp

Merseyside outfit Liverpool boss has expressed sincere delight toward his team as they are still in the race to secure their first English Premier League title in 29 years.

A win against Cardiff City on Sunday returned the Jurgen Klopp team to the top of the summit to mount pressure on defending champions Man City and also to stand the chance of winning the title.

Jurgen Klopp hints that he is happy with his team because they have been able to show the will that they want to win the title this season ahead of their rivals Man City.

According to him, he is convinced that the players can give it a fight until the end of the season with just a few games left.

However, Man City will have a major test against Man United in their Manchester derby later on Wednesday and the game is expected to determine a lot of things for both sides.

Should Man City lose the game, they are as good as losing the Premier League title if the Reds team fail to see any defeat until the end of the season while United will forget about Champions League next season should reverse be the case.

Sarri blasts Giroud, critics over playing time

Olivier Giroud

Manager Maurizio Sarri has replied France international striker Olivier Giroud for claims that he has not got enough playing time this season.

Olivier Giroud has been linked away from the West London outfit and the major complaint has been his lack of playing time as he insists that he is in his peak and has got the only opportunity to play regularly before age begins to tell on him.

However, Maurizio Sarri has refuted all claims, insisting that he has handed enough playing time to the former Arsenal striker. He explained that Olivier Giroud has played 39 games so far this season across all competitions, which to him is enough for a player who has not been delivering goals.

Most of the opportunities for a starting role given to the World Cup winner has come from Cup competitions and that has been his major concern as he seeks to play often in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Italian boss stated that the striker has been very useful to his team and will only hope to have him around in the coming season, having claimed that an agreement has been reached with the club to have him remain ahead of coming season.

Why Maurizio Sarri will not press for Europa League win, fans won’t like this

sarri

There is no doubt that West London outfit Chelsea fans will grow more furious with manager Maurizio Sarri especially after suggesting that he does not have to win the Europa League before securing qualification to the Champions League next season.

According to the Italian manager, a top-four finish can help solve the problem as well as meet the target, not minding if he goes through the season without a trophy.

The mandate given to Maurizio Sarri when he took the job after coming from Italian Serie A outfit Napoli was to return the club to the Champions League next season and that has been a very difficult task for him to carry out owing to the inconsistent performance of his team so far this season.

There are therefore suggestions that the target can be met by the former Napoli boss if he ends up winning the Europa League this season as they are currently in the semi-final but he seems to have his attention more on finishing in the top-four.

Maurizio Sarri’s team have been handed a big advantage after Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal all lost their weekend games. They will be hoping to make good use of it by winning all of their games left this season.

Gunners Top-four Hopes Suffer Big Dent

Arsenal missed out on the chance to boost their top-four hopes after they were beaten by fellow London club Crystal Palace at home.

The Gunners were stunned by the Eagles at home when a win would have taken them as far as third position on the table.

Arsenal finished on the wrong side of a five-goal thriller against Crystal Palace as they were beaten 3-2.

Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke ended a 19-game goal drought to give his team a first-half lead against the Gunners.

Arsenal should have been given a penalty in the first half but the home players’ protest was incorrectly waved away by centre referee Jon Moss.

The hosts were lackadaisical in the first half and Arsenal manager Unai Emery made two changes which worked well in the first few minutes of the second half after Mesut Ozil scored the equaliser for his team.

Arsenal were in the ascendancy until centre back Shkrodan Mustafi produced a moment of madness to allow Wilfried Zaha score a second goal for the visitors.

James McArthur added a third goal eight minutes later to give Crystal Palace a two-goal cushion.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled one back for Arsenal in the final ten minutes to setup a grandstand finish but Crystal Palace held on to take on three points to secure Premier League safety while the Gunners’ position in the top-four is under serious threat from London rivals Chelsea who play at home to Burnley on Monday night.
