Liverpool have been told by Italian Serie A outfit Napoli that they will not be allowed to land the signature of striker Lorenzo Insigne ahead of the coming summer transfer window.
The Reds team have been linked with the star player for a long period of time but they have not been successful in their bid and there are fears that the situation will remain the same after Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis made it clear that the player is going nowhere.
Lorenzo Insigne has been impressive for Napoli this season, having scored 13 goals and handed 7 assists across all competitions to make him the main man for manager Carlo Ancelotti. It would be an impossible deal to have him leave the club at the end of the season.
The Napoli president has made it clear that Lorenzo Insigne is not in the market for sale, hence the club will not listen to any offers for him.
The president hailed Lorenzo Insigne as an attractive player who is extraordinary, hence there is no way they would want to lose him because there are only a few players like him
Meanwhile, suggestions are that the Reds will have a more robust attack with Lorenzo Insigne should they succeed in convincing Napoli.
