Liverpool left full-back Andy Robertson is reportedly out of the international assignment with his Scotland national team for their opening Euro 2020 qualifier against Kazakhstan.

The Reds star is the latest player to pull out of the Thursday game after claims that he will require a dental surgery which will make him unavailable for the Thursday but he could be available three days later when they feature against San Marino.

Although, Andy Robertson was available for Liverpool’s 2 – 1 win over Fulham on Sunday and that will be his last game before his surgery. The Scotland captain would be replaced by Kieran Tierney.

However, before Andy Robertson withdrew from the game, the Scotland Football Association had confirmed the absence of Blackburn captain Charlie Mulgrew, Millwall goalkeeper Jordan Archer and Sheffield midfielder Barry Bannan.

Meanwhile, Andy Robertson will be available for Liverpool when they return to continue the contest for the Premier League title at the end of the international break as they now top the league table ahead of Man City.

The Scotland international captain is optimistic that his Liverpool team will be able to deliver a title this season as they have their eyes set on the Premier League and the Champions League as well.

Thomas Lemar

Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar has again been linked with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal after failing to live up to his price tag in the Spanish La Liga.

According to the various media reports on the European continent, Thomas Lemar is a target for the Gunners as well as other European sides like Tottenham Hotspur and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

The French World Cup winner has neither scored or assisted any goal in the Spanish La Liga this season despite making 15 appearances.

Thomas Lemar also had no goal output in six group stage games in the Champions League last year.

Atletico Madrid signed him from AS Monaco at the start of the last campaign in a transfer said to be worth around £51.5m.

He came close to signing for the Gunners just months before his Atletico Madrid transfer.

Lemar almost joined Arsenal in the summer of 2017 but the transfer didn’t go through as AS Monaco were unable to sign a replacement in time before that summer’s transfer window ended.

The French winger was seen as a like-for-like signing to replace Alexis Sanchez that summer after Manchester City made a bid to sign the Chilean international.

Possible Arsenal XI with Lemar: Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, David Luiz, Pablo Mari, Sead Kolasinac; Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka, Mesut Ozil, Thomas Lemar, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli.

Ben Chilwell

Three-time European champions Manchester United are plotting a move for Leicester City star Ben Chilwell ahead of this summer according to the widespread media reports in the United Kingdom (UK).

The Metro claimed that the Red Devils have concluded plans to make a summer bid for Ben Chilwell who’s the first choice left-back for the England national team.

Ben Chilwell is on course to be a part of the 23-man England squad to the European Championships this summer.

He has scored one goal and also provided three assists for his team in 19 Premier League matches this term.

Manchester City were interested in signing Ben Chilwell previously but the Premier League champions were not willing to pay the over £50m asking price from the Foxes.

Manchester United have a good relationship with Leicester City and the Red Devils could capitalize on that to secure the signing of Three Lions of England player Ben Chilwell.

The Red Devils signed Harry Maguire from Leicester City at the start of this season in a deal that made him the most expensive defender in the history of the game.

Leicester City received £80m for the transfer of the new Manchester United skipper.

Harry Maguire is a key member of the England squad these days.

Timo Werner

Premier League leaders Liverpool have been ruthless in the English top-flight this season and that ruthlessness could be worse for their opponents if they are able to pull off a deal for RB Leipzig star Timo Werner who has been in red-hot form for his German Bundesliga outfit since last summer.

Liverpool have 16 more points than nearest challengers and Premier League champions Manchester City at the league summit after winning 22 games from 23 Premier League outings.

The Reds are unbeaten in the league this season and they also have a game at hand over the teams around them.

Timo Werner is said to be a key transfer target for Liverpool though a move in this January transfer window is largely unlikely.

The 23-year-old petite German international could leave RB Leipzig for Liverpool in the summer as that period is more feasible with the player reluctant to leave his current club in the middle of the season.

Recent reports have claimed that the player has agreed a deal for him to join Liverpool this summer ahead of Chelsea who are also in the mix to sign him.

Liverpool XI with Werner: Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Fabinho; Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino; Timo Werner.
