North London giants Arsenal have been dealt a mini-transfer blow after one of their targets revealed his desire to stay at his current club.

Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez has revealed that he’s happy at the club and that he wants to stay at the Allianz Arena and help the Bavarian giants win many titles.

James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid having joined the German champions at the start of the last campaign.

The Colombian international star spoke about his future in an interview with Sport1 as he revealed that the two clubs (Bayern Munich and Real Madrid) will hold talks over his long-term future.

James Rodriguez spoke to reporters after his heroics for Bayern Munich in the 6-0 win over Mainz 05 at the Allianz Arena on Sunday evening.

The former FC Porto and AS Monaco player hit his first treble in eight years to help the Bavarian giants move past rivals Borussia Dortmund at the top of the German Bundesliga table.

Robert Lewandowski, Kingsley Coman, and Alphonso Davies were also on target for Bayern Munich in the thumping league win over Mainz 05 at home.

James Rodriguez was linked with a loan move to Arsenal during the winter transfer window with reports claiming that the Gunners were willing to pay the fee for the rest of his loan deal.

Bayern paid £11m for his loan transfer with the option of a permanent transfer for just £36m.
