The German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich are yet to recover from the 3-1 defeat they suffered against English Premier League outfit Liverpool yet they have another pain to bear.
The Bundesliga giants have been hit by UEFA with a number of charges after their fans displayed abusive banners criticizing VAR during the second leg of their Champions League clash against Liverpool.
There is no doubt that the VAR has been unacceptable to the German fans, hence they took to the Champions League game to vent their anger. The banner read “Modern football kills emotions, f**k VAR! F**k UEFA”.
Also, Bayern Munich have been charged by UEFA with kit infringement after Leon Goretzka was seen wearing the wrong shirt in their 3-1 loss.
Therefore, the case is expected to be heard by UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Body on May 16 as a final decision would be taken against the Bundesliga outfit.
However, Liverpool have crossed to the quarter finals of the Champions League and have been drawn with FC Porto as the club they must defeat to be able to forge ahead.
Meanwhile, the Reds have not won a title in a long while, winning the UEFA Champions League will be a big boost to the club.
