Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had earlier stated that he does not expect to do any major deals in the coming summer transfer window as he will only be interested in keeping his team together for the challenge.
This is coming after the Reds boss refused to make any signing in the last winter transfer window with claims that he is happy with his team and will not seek any additions.
However, there could be a change of mind for the former Borussia Dortmund international as a result of the club’s interest in Fransisco Reis Ferreira ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old central defender has featured in first team and reserves at Benfica with his quality already tested. It is reported that the Merseyside outfit have made attempts to snap up the star player in the past but it did not fall through.
Now it is claimed that the Merseyside outfit have asked about the conditions and availability of the player for a deal but from indications, the club is still reluctant to sell for reasons that are unknown.
Howbeit, should the club refuse to let the player leave, Liverpool could be forced to stick with the words of manager Jurgen Klopp by not doing any serious deal in the summer.
