Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is keen to keep midfielder Isaac Hayden at the club beyond this summer.
In his recent interview, Spanish tactician Benitez talked about his desire to keep the former Arsenal player at St. James Park.
Rafael Benitez pointed out that Isaac Hayden is an important member of his squad.
Isaac Hayden came through the Arsenal Academy before making his debut for the Gunners.
He didn’t make much impact with the Arsenal first team and that prompted the £1m move to Newcastle United.
He was not a regular member of the starting XI at Newcastle United until this season.
Hayden has been an integral part of the Newcastle United team that’s back to form in the Premier League.
Newcastle United have won their last five games at home and Isaac Hayden has been a big part of that feat including last weekend’s 3-2 comeback win over Everton at home.
The Magpies recovered from a 2-0 first-half deficit against Everton to score three second-half goals and win the game 3-2.
Former Gunner Hayden has not been able to leave the Magpies despite expressing his wish to the club in the past.
The English midfielder tried to leave Newcastle United in the past two transfer windows but any move away from the club didn’t materialise.
