Merseyside outfit Liverpool legend is one person who is on the high after seeing his former side defeat German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich away from home by 3-1 in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

A brace from Senegal international Sadio Mane in both half of the game and another towering header by former Southampton defender Virgi Van Dijk was more than enough for the Merseyside outfit to secure a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

However, Michael Owen seems to be ‘crazy’ about the first goal scored by the Senegal international after describing the goal as “a finish of the highest quality”.

Michael Owen was full of praise for the Senegal international as he stated that the player was brilliant enough to know that all he needed to do was to take the ball wide so as to create the space for himself and that worked out for him.

However, the Reds are hoping they can do a repeat of last season’s feat in the Champions League by reaching the finals which would be played in Madrid but this time they will not face their last year’s opponent as they have been eliminated already from the competition.
