Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was in bullish mood after his heroics led his Italian Serie A side into the quarterfinals of this season’s Champions League ahead of Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldo and Juventus trailed 2-0 from the 1St leg in Madrid but they were able to overturn that deficit in their second leg clash on Tuesday night with the help of the Portuguese national team captain.

The former Manchester United player was in superb form as he scored a hattrick to propel Juventus to a 3-0 win on the night and a 3-2 aggregate victory that was enough to secure Juventus a spot in the last eight.

In his post-match thoughts, Ronaldo told Sky Italia that Juventus bought him for performances like the one he delivered against Atletico Madrid.

He has now scored 25 goals against Atletico in his career.

Ronaldo gave Juventus a first-half lead before he added a second goal on 49 minutes to drag Juventus level on aggregate.

The former Real Madrid player was then afforded the chance to complete his treble against the Rojiblancos after substitute Angel Correa brought down the impressive Federico Bernardeschi.

Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot thereby handing Juventus a 3-0 win on the night and a 3-2 victory on aggregate.
